Welcome to the Dower House at Rousdon just a few minutes drive from Lyme Regis and many other resorts and attractions in Dorset and East Devon including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage. |
The Dower House is a lovely old Victorian building which has enjoyed previous uses as a rectory and more recently as a headmaster's house. The property now comprises ten comfortable and tastefully appointed guest bedrooms with a dining and breakfast room, fully licensed bar, sun terrace.
Surrounded by rolling hills and open countryside the views from the sun terrace and many of the bedrooms are stunning.

The accommodation includes two family rooms, five standard doubles/twin rooms, two superior rooms with four poster beds and a very spacious and luxurious ground floor suite.
All the rooms enjoy en-suite bathrooms. Many of the beds are super-king size and all are extremely comfortable with cosy duvets and crisp white linen. Coffee and tea making facilities hairdryers and wireless internet are of course available in all our bedrooms.

Breakfast at the Dower House comprises a buffet of cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts and fruit juices and toast. Cooked breakfast follows with a choice of traditional English breakfast or kippers haddock or smoked salmon.The Dower House has a heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from May to September.
We are happy to take well-behaved dogs and have our own dog, a labradoodle called Dave.

He is very friendly but for those of you who are not keen on dogs he is kept in the private part of the house, and only allowed to meet guests on request!
